Ron’s breakout moment came in 1984 at Houston’s legendary Catch One club, where his electrifying debut set introduced what would soon become the signature PullmanSoul sound. His reputation quickly grew, leading him to Atlanta in 1986, where he became the heartbeat of the city’s underground House scene. He held down the decks at iconic venues including The Ritz Boys, Traxx, Frozen Paradise, Plastic, Crescent Room, Diamonds, and The Excelsior Mill (now The Masquerade).

Ron’s reach extended to Atlanta’s top airwaves with radio mixes for V-103 FM, KISS 104, and community stations like 88.5 WRAS and 89.3 WRFG, eventually hosting his own acclaimed show, Southern Deepness, on Handz On Radio.

Throughout his career, Ron has shared stages with some of the most respected names in global House music, including Tony Humphries, Ron Trent, DJ Camacho, Joe Claussell, Tedd Patterson, Larry Heard, Marques Wyatt, Kevin Hedge, and more.

Known for his passionate delivery, soulful energy, and deep respect for the music, Ron's mantra—“What you put into it is what you will get out of it”—is not just a philosophy but the foundation of every set he plays. Today, he continues to create and innovate, releasing music with labels like Makin’ Moves and CyberJamz, and holding a monthly residency at Atlanta’s Eagle.

Ron Pullman doesn’t just play music—he channels decades of experience, culture, and soul into every moment, keeping the spirit of House alive and thriving.

For over three decades, Ron Pullman has been a transformative force in the Southern House Music scene. Revered as “Atlanta’s Godfather of House,” Ron’s legacy is built on flawless mixing, soulful selections, and an unwavering commitment to the roots of House Music.

A Midwest native raised on gospel by his musician father, Ron’s love for music began in the late '70s through vinyl collecting. By the early '80s, he had become a coast-to-coast clubber, studying DJs and sounds from New York to L.A. That passion naturally evolved into spinning, fueled by the encouragement of close friends and inspired by legends like Shep Pettibone, Ron Hardy, Timmy Regisford, Tee Scott, and Tito Robinson.
